Home Affairs reports an adjusted 2026–27 permanent Migration Program composition with a further focus on onshore applicants. Program planning levels are allocations, not individual visa caps or guarantees.

Planning levels operate for the 2026–27 program year. Separate state allocation, invitation and nomination announcements may follow on different dates.

Who may be affected

Prospective skilled, employer-sponsored and family stream applicants planning in 2026–27.

The mix can influence state nomination settings, invitation activity and client expectations, but does not itself create eligibility or an invitation right.

What this does not mean
